Mod Design and Frog Toile

This week's Spoonflower contest ends today. The theme is Mod wallpaper, however the mod inspired designs can be printed as wallpaper, fabric and wrapping paper.  So many of the designs are terrific, many geometric patterns inspired by the 1960's British movement.  My entry for the next contest, Frogs, is a toile inspired by my daughter and the classic fairy tale, The Frog Prince.

Fabric of the Week Contest, Greek Myths entry

This week's entry into the Spoonflower fabric of the week contest is a variation of the Greek Goddesses print I submitted for the Handrawn contest.  The theme for the contest this week is Greek Myths so I was pleased to already have a design I could translate into an entry.  This design is multi-directional which is more practical for some applications.  I hope you can find time to vote this week.

Two Little Birds

I just got a new art supply; Pébéo's Fantasy Moon paints discovery set.  Both birds are painted with the new paints over stamping on card stock. The paint is highly glossy, textured and has a pearly sheen. Sadly, those effects are not visible with the scan. My only problem with the paint is that I need some kind of solvent to clean the brushes that I don't have and so I have ruined two of my favorite brushes. The paint also has a chemical odor and should be used in a well ventilated area.

Elephants in Spring

I love doing ATCs as they are so quick and allow a little instant gratification.  This week's offering feature elephants silhouettes and sewn details.
